Support Groups

Participation in Kaua`i Hospice’s bereavement support groups is free of charge and open to all members of the public. Members of the community are encouraged to participate no matter when or where the death occurred. Please call our office at 245-7277 if you would like additional information on any of our regular support groups listed below.

JOURNEY THROUGH GRIEF

“Journey Through Grief” is Kaua`i Hospice’s 6-week bereavement care workshop to help participants deal with the complex feelings associated with the death of a loved one. Travelers along the journey are provided information, education and support to explore their feelings and learn together how loss can affect and transform us. We ask participants to attend all 6 sessions since each serves as a “stepping stone” on the journey to healing. “Journey Through Grief” is offered several times per year. Please check our calendar of events for the next session dates or contact our Lihue office for details. Advanced registration is requested.

THE RAINBOW CONNECTION – YOUTH / TEEN GROUP

The Rainbow Connection is a peer support group for students who have been significantly impacted by the death of a friend or loved one. The goal of the group is to help students work through their grief in a healthy way and to provide support for them in expressing feelings of grief. The Rainbow Connection meets on the first Monday of every month from 3:00 – 5:00PM at Queen Lili`uokalani Children’s Center (QLCC), 4350 Kali Road, Lihue.
