Kaua‘i
Hospice is a community based, community supported organization which
recognizes that death and bereavement are a natural part of the life
process. The Hospice team provides community education and high quality
interdisciplinary care designed to meet the physical, emotional and
spiritual needs of patients and families who are coping with a
life-threatening illness, which is no longer responding to aggressive
curative therapies.
How to make a referral
Anyone may refer a
patient to Kaua‘i Hospice. Referrals may come when the patient, a
friend, caregiver, relative, social worker, nurse, hospital, nursing
home, Home Health Care Agency, or the patient's private physician calls
Hospice. Our staff is available to visit with the patient and family
prior to admission into the Kaua‘i Hospice program for assessment
and explanation of the services provided.
