Kaua‘i Hospice Staff Caroline Miura Spiritual Care Coordinator
Rev.
Caroline Miura is a certified Chaplain and holds a Masters
Degree in Divinity and a BA in Communications. Some of
her many Continuing Education credits include Non Violent
Communication, Women's Spirituality, Applied Meditation and
Alternative Forms of Holistic Healing, Anger Management,
Alcohol/Substance Abuse Certification Training,
Hospice/Bereavement Training, South Africa Study Tour, and
Oahu's Teen Institute Training on
Resiliency.
Caroline served as Kaua`i Hospice’s
Family Care Coordinator and Spiritual Care Coordinator from
1997 – 2000 and returned in December of 2008 as our Spiritual
Care Coordinator. From 1997 – 2008, she was the
Counselor & Mental Health Specialist for Child and Family
Service, Minister from 1992 – 1996 for Hanapepe United Church
of Christ, and a Home-based Therapist for Hale 'Opio from
1991-1992. In addition, Caroline volunteered for Kaua`i
Hospice from 1992 until she began working for us in 1997, and
also served on the Board of Directors.
Caroline
lives in Kapaa with her husband, Tad, and in her spare time
enjoys the beach, yoga, reading, spirituality,
and golf.
