Lori J. Miller
was hired in November 2007 to serve as the Executive Director
for Kaua`i Hospice. Prior to that, she had been working in the
non-profit arena for over 17 years having most recently served
as the Chief Operations Officer for Ho`ola Lahui Hawai`i and
the Kaua`i Community Health Centers. Lori feels a strong
connection to the local community of Kaua`i and has a strong
interest in raising awareness and opening a community-level
dialogue around end-of-life issues. Her undergraduate degree
is a Bachelor of Arts in English – Professional Writing. She
is completing her Masters of Arts degree in Conflict Resolution and Peace Building from California State University. Lori is married to Ivo Miller who is the director of music for Kapa`a First Hawaiian Church as well as a professional musician. They have one son, Jordan who attends Wilcox Elementary School. Together they have lived in the islands since 1999 and presently reside in Wailua Rise Estates.
